Quick Guide: Fiberglass Pole Setup

We had a mistake in our Install Brochure. There are 2 configurations to setup the laterals fiberglass poles. If you feel the fabric isn’t tight enough, place one end (and ONLY one end) of the lateral fiberglass pole against the silver sleeve instead of on top of it. This creates additional tension in the fabric, giving it a firmer, wrinkle-free fit.
We recommend using this configuration whenever heavy rain or strong winds are expected. The extra tension makes the shelter more stable and helps the fabric resist flapping in gusty conditions. A tighter surface also allows rainwater to run off more efficiently, reducing the risk of pooling on the roof. While no temporary structure can withstand extreme weather without limits, this setup offers an added layer of protection.
For best results, combine it with securely tightened corner straps, firmly anchored tie-down points — and always tie the ropes and install the pegs if high winds are in the forecast.
