Your Teselisent Secure Storage Shed is made from PU 4000 fabric - meaning it has a waterproof rating of 4,000 mm. In practical terms, this means it can withstand the equivalent of a 4-meter column of water pressing on the fabric before any leakage occurs. This is well above what’s needed for most rain conditions, including prolonged rain.
However, in exceptional weather - such as tropical-style storms or multiple days of continuous heavy rain - we recommend extra protection to extend the life of your shelter and safeguard your gear:
Add a ground barrier - Place a waterproof tarp or plastic sheet (for example, a camping groundsheet or heavy-duty polyethylene / PE tarp) under the shelter to block ground moisture and rising damp.
Cover the roof - Use an additional waterproof sheet or tarp (for example, a lightweight camping tarp or heavy-duty polyethylene cover) over the top to shield against extreme rain exposure.
We chose PU 4000 as the optimum balance between high waterproof performance and lightweight portability. Going for higher ratings would make the fabric heavier, bulkier, more expensive and less convenient for transport - which would go against our mission to keep the shelter practical and easy to handle.
The fabric we use has been carefully chosen and tested for long-term durability so it will maintain its protective qualities through repeated setups, seasonal changes, and everyday outdoor use.
By combining strength with portability, we ensure that your Teselisent shelter is a product you can rely on - not just for one season, but for many years to come.
